About Us
Wilds Artistics LLC is a small, family owned company that operates the old fashioned way – we provide a great product, at a fair price, and we firmly stand behind it.
It may sound quaint, but we still believe in words like honesty, value, and trust; and we operate our company with those principles in mind.
Owned and operated by John and Margaret Wilds, Wilds Artistics LLC was formed to market the game they invented – Fast Track Derby.
About the Company (and how the Game came to be.)
John attended Washington University, and is a retired tool and die maker (working 24 years for Anheuser Busch.) Margaret attended Southeast Missouri State College and worked in a beauty salon.
After retiring, and born from a mutual passion for both horse racing and fun “family style” games, the couple started to think about making a game that combined the two. There were a few basic principles they had in mind:
* The game had to be easy to learn, and easy to play, for both adults and
kids
* It also had to be fun for all age groups.
* Since this would be a family board game, betting and odds were not going to be a part of it.
* The game had to capture the excitement of horse racing.
After several prototypes, John and Margaret hit upon the magic formula that became Fast Track Derby – a fun, exciting game that captures the feel of a horse race, and is enjoyable for the entire family.
They test marketed it with their own family first, then with a few friends, and then with complete strangers (bringing the game to hospitals, daycare centers, and such.)
The results were unanimous – everyone who played, both kids and adults, had a fantastic time. In simple terms, the game is flat-out fun.
We think you’ll agree that this is a different kind of board game – one that encourages out-loud cheering, and where every roll of the dice is exciting. It’s a game where everyone has fun – kids, parents, grandparents… everyone!
